1. Identify the problem.
a. Conduct literature review.
b. Gather preliminary data.
2. Propose a hyopthesis as a means of explainin the problem.
3. Gather data relevant to the hypothesis.
4. Process and interpret data in order to emperically test the hypothesis.
5. Ascertain wheather the interpretation resolves the problem.
