The HelpThe Help by Kathryn Stockett

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I listened to the audio version of this book and I was engrossed right fromt he start. I became emotionally involved with the characters and I looked for reasons to take a drive to listen more. At eh end I couldn't wait any longer so I took the cds insode and listened to them while I knitted. I thought it was an excellent book. the best one I have experienced in a very long time. I am looking forward to seeing the movie.

Janet Evanovich

If you want to laugh your way to work or on a long trip across the country Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum booksare for you. Bail bondswoman Stephanie Plum gets herself in hilarious situations, blows up at least one car per book, has romantic ties with hunky men and eats donuts like they're going out of style. Her sidekick (ex ho) Lula keeps the humor coming in large doses. I highly recommend!

The Great Gatsby

I cannot say enough good things about Tim Robbin's narritation in this version of the Great Gatsby. I found him to be amazingly entertaining.

This recording includes a selection of letters written by Fitzgerald to his editor, Maxwell Perkins, his agent, Harold Ober, and friends and associates, including Willa Cather, H.L. Mencken, John Peale Bishop and Gertrude Stein.

The Horse and His Boy by C.S. LEwis

I just loved this book. The little boy, Shasta ,escapes slavery with the help of a talking horse and together they journey to Narnia. Along the way they meet a little girl and her talking horse. On their journey they encounter adventure and danger as they make their way to Narnia.

The narration of this audiobook is very entertaining. Alex Jennings does a great job with the voices and the personalities of each character.
