Dewey: There is a Cat in the Library by Vicki Myron and Bret Witter

A small, freezing, and frightened kitten found one winter day in a library book drop box becomes the treasured mascot of the Spencer Public Library in Iowa. Now named Dewey Readmore Books, the strawberry blond cat comforts and entertains young and old patrons of the library. Dewey becomes the beloved greeter and custodian of the library for many years. The watercolor Illustrations portray the life like emotions of the characters in the story. Children ages 3-6 that like animals, especially cats, will enjoy this heartwarming tale.
