Muddy Play Dough

What fun we had in our STEM Dinosaurs and Fossils program. If you want to make the mud play dough we used on the program you can follow the instructions below.
Ingredients
2 1/2. C flour
1/2 C cocoa
1 1/2 C salt
2 T cream of tartar
3 C water
3 T oil

Combine dry ingredients in a large pot. Add wet ingredients and stir constantly over medium heat.
Mixture will start off soupy and turn into a dough texture. At this point I put dough in my Kitchen Aid mixer and mix using the bread dough attachment. If you do not have a mixer keep mixing by hand.
When it is mixed knead the dough using cocoa. Let the dough cool completely and have fun.
I cut dough in to squares and stored them in ziploc baggies and 2 weeks later they were still soft and ready for playing.

Thank you to Heidi's Recipes for the play dough recipe.
