Theme Rhyme: Pirate wore a red patch, a red patch, a red patch. the pirate wore a red patch all day long. I made many many eye patches. Hopefully enough for every child to have one. I hand them out and as we sing the rhyme the children with the appropriate colored eye patch will come up and put it on the pirate. I do have dulplicate colors so children can put the eye patches on top of each other.

Check out this link Making Learning Fun for the pirate templates.

Counting
I hot glued magnets to gold coins I bought at a party store.
I hand out the coins ( I have 24) and have the children sit in a line. As we count each child can come up and put their coin in the line.

Pirate Theme Rhyme:

If your're a pirate and you know it
Swab the deck (swish, swish)
If your're a pirate and you know it

Swab the deck (swish, swish)
If you're a pirate and you know it
You'll hear the sea winds blowin
If you're a pirate and you know it
Swab the deck (swish, swish)

*Walk the plank (stomp, stomp)
*Say Ahoy (arm movement)
